Monochrome moment.

I'm having a monochrome moment. Which, to be honest, i'm finding a little un-nerving!
I am a self confessed lover of colour.
Lots and lots of colour.
Any colour will do.
And today, when browsing pinterest, i found myself increasingly attracted to monochrome!
It's strange how these things go.
I've always thought it must be hard to make a really strong monochromatic scheme work in a real home scenario. But the more i look, it can look warm and homely, as well as chic and minimalistic.
Well isn't that a revelation.

I think this room is so clever. Where the tiny amounts of colour are used, they pop out so much, not overpowering the scheme, but really enhancing the monochromatic theme.

I think this room has to be my favourite. I can just imagine having that table laid beautifully and enjoying a wonderful dinner party with friends in that room.

My living room is the same colour as that one. It's such a warm grey.

I think this looks very 'hotel-esque', but very chic.

What inspires you?

Today i have been thinking about inspiration.
Earlier, when i was discussing a project i'm doing, someone told me to go and visit an art exhibition, because she found it really inspiring.
My problem with going to serious art exhibitions is all i want to do is talk. I can't bare the silence! I feel awkward and uncomfortable, so I knew it wouldn't work for me.
Inspiration is so subjective and personal. What inspires one person, can completely bore the next
I often find i'm really inspired by blogs. I find interaction more inspiring than just viewing.
Sometimes the smallest, and seemingly most unimportant thing can inspire me, and then i'm on a roll!
Today, i saw this on pinterest, and i felt inspired.
